Helicopter crashes while giving rides in Waverly

A helicopter ride at a Waverly festival gave participants more than they bargained for when it crash landed. The helicopter from Marion was giving rides for the Waverly Heritage Days celebration. The chopper developed a mechanical problem shortly after taking off from the Waverly airport and had to land in a city parking lot. There was major damage to the helicopter. The pilot and two passengers were not injured.
