Pitching and defense is a major factor for every baseball team and that has been the key to success for Class 2A fifth-ranked Jesup in their tournament run. Adam Kehoe pitched a no-hitter Tuesday night in the J-Hawks 8-0 win over Denver in a district championship game. He says he basically threw fastballs and let the fielders back him up. Kehoe’s only trouble came in the sixth inning when he battled some control problems. He says he lost his control a little, but got it back after walking two batters and hitting one. The J-Hawks have not yielded a run in three tournament games so far. Jesup coach Bruce Wall says great pitching and timely hits make it seem easy.
