Coaches from across the state will share ideas this weekend at the Iowa Football Coaches Association meeting in Ames which will be held in conjunction with the North/South Shrine All-Star Classic. I-F-C-A president Dave Arns from Waverly-Shell Rock says while coaches guard their game plans during the season, they are more than happy to share their philosophies during the off-season.Kirk Ferentz, Dan McCarney and a number of college and high school coaches will host forums on every aspect of the game. Arns says events like these are perfect for young coaches who can gather information from more experienced colleagues. The clinic begins on Friday morning and will conclude prior to Saturday’s five o’clock kickoff of the Shrine game in Jack Trice Stadium.
