Storm Lake teen faces several sexual abuse charges

August 6, 2003 By admin

Police in Storm Lake arrested a teen fugitive they say is involved in several sexual assaults. Captain Bob Swanson says the department arrested 14-year-old Ivan Rise after getting a tip that Rise was back in town after being out of the country. Rise is charged with three counts of second-degree sexual abuse, assault with intent to commit sexual abuse and three counts of sexual assault. Police say Rise allegedly assaulted a 10-year-old girl numerous times in an abandoned mobile home. The incidents were reported in May of 2002. Rise was taken to the juvenile detention center in Cherokee.
