Monticello girl prepares for Miss Teen USA Pageant

A Monticello teenager is in California preparing for the Miss Teen U-S-A Pageant. 18-year-old Alyssa Cook qualified for the Miss Teen U-S-A contest by winning the Iowa contest last December. She is in Palm Springs, California for the nationally televised pageant August 12th. The winner goes on to New York for a year and wins several thousand dollars in prizes.
