A routine traffic stop led to a foot chase this morning in Sioux City. Authorities say an Iowa State Patrol Trooper and the man he stopped for a seat belt violation were injured. According to the Patrol, 25-year-old James King of Sioux City ran from the trooper while being patted down and a foot chase took place near a slow-moving train. The trooper, who has not been identified, scuffled with King as he tried to get on the train. King’s legs were injured when he was struck and pulled under the train. He’s in a Sioux City hospital. The trooper was treated for cuts and bruises.
