Foreign dignitaries visit Iowa on trade tour

August 11, 2003 By admin

More than five-dozen foreign dignitaries are being driven around Iowa this week. The 60 ambassadors are touring Iowa manufacturing facilities and a few farms. The tour starts today in central Iowa and ends Friday, after stops in Mason City, Storm Lake, Sioux City and 15 other cities. Senator Chuck Grassley is hosting the event, his ninth tour for ambassadors, set up to showcase Iowa to folks who help shape trade policies in their own countries.
