Investigators are looking into a deadly weekend house fire in northeast Iowa. Fire swept through the home in New Hampton on Saturday, a home that had no smoke detectors. The house was destroyed and the sole occupant was killed — 73-year-old Joe Kerwick. Investigators say a kitchen appliance may’ve sparked the fire.
