Authorities believe they’ve identified those responsible for setting a blaze that damaged a public library in the northwest corner of the state. Two northwest Iowa men have been charged with setting the fire that gutted the Sioux Center Public Library on July 23rd. Twenty-four-year-old Jared Ehrp and 23-year-old Bradley Emmerson, both of Sioux Center, are charged with second degree arson. The Iowa State Fire Marshall ruled the blaze was “arson by valdalism.” Ehrp was arrested and booked into the Sioux County Jail. Emmerson’s out of town at the moment, but will appear before a magistrate when he returns home.
