Northwest Iowa man dies in head-on crash

A northwest Iowa man is dead following a head-on crash. 25-year-old Nathan Weise of Cherokee was killed in the crash about eight miles south of Cherokee on Sunday. The state patrol says Weise was driving a pickup north on Highway 59 and collided with the southbound car, driven by 36-year-old Kenneth Reed of Storm Lake. Reed was taken to an Omaha hospital. His condition isn’t known. The accident is under investigation.
