UNI heads into season with known QB

August 18, 2003 By admin

The quarterback question is settled at UNI– unlike the last, 2002 season. Tom Petrie shared the job last year with Griff Jurgens but as a junior Petrie is the clear number-one. He says that is making pre-season drills much more comfortable. He says some of the pressure of looking over his shoulder is off and he has the chance to take a few more risks.Last year Petrie threw for more than 13-hundred yards and while he’s confident the Panther offense will score points, says it is also critical to limit mistakes.
