Boy dies after being run over by father

August 19, 2003 By admin

A three-year old boy has died after being run over by his own father at a Cedar Rapids hotel. The accident happened Sunday night. 36-year-old Raymond Waite of Meridian, Idaho was in the process of moving his truck after checking into the hotel when he ran over his son Nathen. The boy had apparently followed his father outside without the father knowing he was there. Nathen was airlifted to University Hospitals in Iowa City where he died about one o’clock this morning (Tuesday). Police say no charges are anticipated.
