The students have spoken, and three Iowa institutions have made the latest Princeton Review called “Best 351 Colleges” in the U-S. The University of Iowa ranked number-one on the list in the category of “Professors Make Themselves Scarce” and was number-four in “Teaching Assistants Teach Too Many Upper-Level Courses.” Iowa State University ranked 11th in “Everyone Plays Intramural Sports,” number-13 in “Students (Almost) Never Study” and 16th in “Jock Schools.” Grinnell College placed in the top twenty of ten categories in the review. Grinnell ranked for “Best Academic Bang For Your Buck,” “Professors Make Themselves Accessible” and several others, including “Gay Community Accepted,” and “Students Most Nostalgic For Bill Clinton.” Grinnell was also 12th nationally in the category, “Birkenstock-Wearing, Tree-Hugging, Clove-Smoking Vegetarians.”
