One person was killed, one hurt, in a weekend plane crash northwest of Cedar Rapids. Benton County authorities say the pilot 55-year-old Keith Kelly of Strawberry Point crashed the ultralight aircraft in a cornfield near Shellsburg Sunday afternoon. Kelly’s 54-year-old wife, Elaine, was killed. She was the only passenger. The pilot is listed in serious condition at a Cedar Rapids hospital. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
