A Taylor County farmer died Wednesday in a farm accident. The Taylor County Sheriff’s office says 74-year-old Cecil Beery of Bedford was dead on arrival at a Maryville, Missouri hospital. Authorities say Beery was driving a tractor raking hay in a farmfield when he tried to turn around on a terrace, and apparently turning too short, the tractor tipped over and crushed him.
