UNI moves higher in volleyball poll

The U-N-I volleyball team continues to climb in the national coaches poll. The Panthers are up two spots to sixth after posting a 2-1 record at a tournament in Los Angeles. The only loss was to top-ranked U-S-C.U-N-I coach Bobbi Peterson says it was a difficult task this week. She says a number of teams in the top ten suffered losses in the opening week. Minnesota lost three matches to top 25 opponents and based on the other matches, she says she would have predicted that they’d move up.U-N-I plays at Northern Illinois in non-conference action on Friday.
