Grinnell opens season at Ripon

Grinnell College opens the season at Ripon on Saturday. Greg Wallace begins his 15th season as the Pioneers’ coach and feels the team is ready for the game after battling the heat and getting into condition.Wallace says the concern right now is some injuries in the offensive and defensive lines. He says they aren’t major injuries, but things you have to deal with and that leaves some players practicing more downs. Ten players make up what is one of the largest senior classes Wallace has had and he says they’ve done a good job of taking the reigns of the team.
