Iowa Lottery spokesperson Mary Neubauer says they’re expanding the daily “Pick-three” drawings to twice-a-day Monday through Saturday — a single drawing will continue on Sunday. Neubauer says they’re also adding a “Pick-four” drawing on the same days and times. In “Pick-three” you pick from the numbers zero-zero (000) to nine-nine-nine (999), and “Pick-four” four is the same thing except you pick four numbers instead of three. Neubauer says they decided to expand after reviewing the sale figures for “Pick-three” from the last fiscal year that ended in June. Those figures shows the game was the fastest growing — with a 21-percent increase in sales. Neubauer says the “Pick-four” game will have a little bigger prize. The “Pick-three” game has a top prize of three-thousand dollars, while the “Pick-four” game’s top take is 30-thousand. Neubauer says the prizes aren’t as big as the multi-state Powerball game, but the odds of winning are better. The expanded drawings for “Pick-three” and the new “Pick-four” games debut September 21st.
