Texas Tech continues its pass happy ways

October 7, 2003 By admin

The name has changed but the results have been the same at Texas Tech where the Red Raiders are putting up impressive numbers on offense again this season. B.J. Symons threw for 505-yards and eight touchdowns in a blowout win over Texas A&M. Last year, Tech promoted record-setting quarterback Cliff Kingsbury for the Heisman trophy but coach Mike Leach says there is not a similar effort this season. He says he’s letting Symmons’ numbers speak for themselves and he says there’s no question who he thinks is the best player in the country. Leach says the entire offense is playing well. He says there’s an overall team quality to the offense as they protect well and the receivers are doing a good job.
