Loras hosts Wartburg in homecoming

Homecoming on the Loras College campus this weekend will have added appeal as the Duhawks host Wartburg in a battle of unbeatens in Iowa Conference play.Loras coach Bob Biere says both teams have been especially strong in two key areas, running the ball and stopping the run. He says Wartburg is one of the top defensive teams in the country. Biere says they expected to have a strong running game coming into the season but the play of the defense has exceeded expectations.Biere says winning a conference title requires beating a team the quality of Wartburg.Wartburg is sixth-ranked nationally in division three.
