The Iowa State Cyclones visit Texas Tech tomorrow night looking to snap a three game losing skid. Cyclone coach Dan McCarney says the defense needs a solid effort but the offense will need to score a lot. Tech racked up 59-points in a blowout win over Texas A&M last week. Tech quarterback B.J. Symons had more than 500-yards of passing in last week’s victory and McCarney says the Cyclone secondary will need to come through. McCarney says if you don’t like a game like this as a defensive back, then you don’t like football. McCarney says Symons has done a good job of taking over for record-setting quarterback Cliff Kingsbury and fitting into the Tech system. McCarney says he’s also “got a gun for an arm.” He says Symons is playing better now than Kingsbury was last year. Iowa State is 2-3.
