Iowa State coach Dan McCarney will wait until the end of the week before choosing a starting quarterback for the Cyclones homecoming game against Texas this Saturday. Chris Love relieved Austin Flynn in last Saturday’s loss at Texas Tech and finished 15 of 29 for 262-yards. McCarney says Love did some good things off the bench and he says they’re going to take all this week to evaluate and finalize their decision. McCarney says he is not waiting to make a decision just to keep Texas guessing. He says they’re not trying to play games, they’re just trying to put themselves into a position to score points.Texas will be looking to bounce back from an embarrassing 65-13 loss to top-ranked Oklahoma.Texas coach Mack Brown says the most important thing is to correct the mistakes they made and see if they need to make some changes. Brown says he expects to face a hungry Iowa State team that will be trying to snap a four game losing streak.
