Iowa Conference lead is on the line

The outright lead in the Iowa Conference football race will be on the line this weekend when Simpson visits Wartburg. At 5-0, Simpson is considered a surprise and the Storm entered the division-three top-25 for the first time since 1999 this week. Simpson coach Jay Niemann says his team will need to play well in all the phases to have a chance, as he says Wartburg is well ballanced and doesn’t make many mistakes.Wartburg is 5-0 and the Knights have outscored their opponents by an average of 46-10.Wartburg coach Rick Willis says they expect it to be a great ballgame and says Simpson throws the ball well. The game features the league’s top two quarterbacks in Simpson’s Mike Donnenworth and Wartburg’s Reed Hoskins.
