Crawford County officials are asking for the public’s help in solving a recent vandalism spree at schools and businesses in the Denison area. Denison Schools Superintendent Steve Westerberg says the latest vandalism happened at the high school after the vandals go into a school car and van and drove them around. He says they hit a bus and caused “quite a bit of damage”, and also damaged a trailer used for outdoor education, and drove on and damaged the practice and playing fields for football. Crawford County Sheriff Tom Hogan believes there’s a link between the high school vandalism and other cases. He says the last two or three weeks they’ve had incidents at the Denison Country Club and the Crawford County Nature Center that makes him think they’re connected. The initial damage estimates at the school are 40 to 50 thousand dollars.
