A Mexican national faces ten years in prison and deportation after his arrest in western Iowa on charges of selling meth within a-thousand feet of a school. 20-year-old Jose Arellano-Jaime of Vail was sentenced this week in Sioux City. He pleaded guilty to possessing and distributing more than a pound of meth to undercover law officers near St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Vail, which is also near Denison Middle School. A search warrant for Arellano-Jaime’s home was issued where authorities say they found cash, meth, a gun and illegal immigration papers.
