A northwest Iowa man will have to settle for a cat or dog after his pet caused an uproar among neighbors. An Ayrshire man’s pleaded guilty to child-endangerment charges. Palo Alto County Court documents show 27-year-old Chris Frerich was charged with putting a ten-foot albino python snake around the necks of neighbor children while showing them the snake. The investigation began after one of the kids complained to his parents. He was given a 2-year suspended sentence, put on probation, ordered to get substance-abuse counseling, and told to get rid of the snake. Frerich’s also prohibited from keeping pets while he’s on probation.
