Teryy could see time for ISU against KSU

November 4, 2003 By admin

Junior College transfer Waye Terry could get playing time at quarterback for Iowa State this weekend when the Cyclones host Kansas State. Austin Flynn is listed as the starter but coach Dan McCarney says Terry has made a lot of strides in recent weeks. He says Terry has continued the good things he did in the Nebraska game. The Cyclones have lost six straight and stand 2-6 on the season. McCarney says the attitude remains positive and the last four-games will be most important for the seniors who want to be remembered by going out with wins. A victory over K-State would be a major accomplishment. The Wildcats have won the last nine games in the series and most of them have not been close. McCarneysays it has been ugly and that motivates them to play better.
