Waye will lead the way for ISU this week

November 10, 2003 By admin

Iowa State coach Dan McCarney plans to start Waye Terry at quarterback when the Cyclones close out the home season against Colorado. Terry was seven of 20 for 80-yards in last weekend’s 45-0 loss to Kansas State. He says they watched the game tape and will continue evaluating the practices throught his week. The Cyclones are 2-7 and with a victory would knock Colorado out of the bowl picture. McCarney says he doesn’t like the role of spoiler, he says he’d rather be in the hunt. With three games remaining the Cyclones no longer have the post-season as a motivation. He says they still have a lot to play for and will give their best effort to finish strong and get some wins.
