Man pushes Hillary website in Des Moines

November 14, 2003 By admin

A Florida man who has launched the www.hillarynow.com website is in Des Moines to talk up the idea of Hillary Clinton as a presidential candidate — and sell his campaign buttons and bumper stickers. Bob Kunst of Miami Beach, Florida says the democrats who are in the race today can’t beat Bush.Kunst says he wants to “shake things up all the way to the rafters” and get Iowans to vote for Hillary Clinton in the Iowa Caucuses. Kunst says he formed the on-line effort because he feels “our country is in great danger and she’s the only one that can get Bush out of there.” Kunst says four more years of George Bush would be disastrous for the country. Kunst says the hillarynow.com campaign has been “two months of daily insanity” where he says he’s found dissatisfaction with the existing crop of democratic candidates. Mrs. Clinton has said she will not run for president in 2004. Kunst says 10-thousand people have signed an on-line petition urging her to run. Kunst held a news conference at the Iowa capitol earlier today.
