Following UNI’s basketball game against Butler Tuesday night crews will immediately get to work reinstalling the artificial surface for the Panther football team. UNI opens the one-double-a national playoffs at home Saturday night against Montana State. UNI athletic director Rick Hartzell says it’ll be a great opponent for them, and it’s great to be able to play at home. Hartzell says while he’s disappointed they did not earn one of the top four seeds, he is not surprised. He says Colgate is 12-0, and he says there’s probably a trade off that the Gateway got four teams in, so they didn’t get a top seed. Hartzell says you have to play all the teams in the end anyway, so they’ll take them on and see what happens.
