Investigators have yet to determine the cause of this week’s fatal fire in a small town in southeastern Iowa’s Keokuk County. The victim is identified as Kelly Lathrop who died in the Monday blaze in the town of Richland. The two-story apartment-house was occupied by two adults and their child on the top floor. They were able to escape and call 911. The fire took six hours to extinguish and 40 firefighters responded.
