UNI is at Delaware tomorrow in the second round of the I-AA playoffs. Panther coach Mark Farley wants his team to avoid the horrendous start Southern Illinois suffered last week at Delaware. The Blue Hens scored 28 first quarter points in a 48-7 win. Farley says Delaware’s the type of football team that can explode whether it’s in the first or fourth quarter. Farley says the Panthers don’t fear playing on the road. Farley says UNI played six games on the road and were very successful. But he says it’s a smaller unit on the sideline and “you’re up against the whole state when you go in to some of these places.”
