Gore set to endorse Dean in Democratic race

December 9, 2003 By admin

Democratic Presidential candidate Howard Dean is scheduled to be in Cedar Rapids today where his staff says he’ll be making a very important campaign announcement. Sources say the big announcement is that Al Gore is endorsing Dean. Gore won the Iowa Democratic caucuses four years ago — trouncing challenger Bill Bradley 60 to 35 percent. Jeff Link was Gore’s Iowa campaign manager in 200 and he says there’s still goodwill for the former Vice President, and says it is a pretty powerful endorsement.
