A Central City man was killed last night in a hit-and-run accident. It happened shortly after nine-thirty last night on a county road near Central City. The Linn County Sheriff’s Department says 24-year-old Lonnie Edwards was apparently walking along the road when he was struck by a passing motorist and died from the injuries. The Sheriff’s Department says they don’t have any description of the vehicle other than it was a Ford. They say it should have substantial front end damage on the passenger side. The Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in gathering information on the incident.
