Aviation museum in Greenfield celebrates first flight

December 17, 2003 By admin

Iowa’s aviation museum in Greenfield is holding a special event in honor of today’s “Centennial of Flight.” Director LeeAnn Nelson says the 100th anniversary of the Wright brothers’ aerial experiment will find a small circle of volunteers sitting around the aviation museum with scripts: Presenting a radio play titled “One Fine Day,” written by Elizabeth van Steenwyck and read by the Cumberland Players. Anyone can attend the soup supper and reading of the dramatic piece, at the airport north of Greenfield.
