A number of Hawkeyes have received post-season awards including offensive tackle Robert Gallery who became the third Iowa player to win the Outland Trophy as the nation’s best lineman. He says his expectations weren’t real high, cause he says you can never get too high. Gallery says it was a great feeling when they announced that he’d won.Gallery’s next goal is to win his final game in an Iowa uniform. He says they learned a lot after losing the Orange Bowl last year and says it left a sour taste in their mouth after a great regular season. Gallery says it’s no fun to lose a bowl game, so they’re going to focus in on winning the Outback Bowl.Receiver Mo Brown spent much of the season on the sidelines with an ankle injury but is looking forward to the matchup with the Gators and not just because he grew up in Fort Lauderdale. He says he wanted to go to the Outback and play Florida, as he says he grew up a Florida State fan, so he’s never rooted for Florida. Brown says since leaving Florida his animosity toward the Gators is nothing like it was while growing up. His mom and dad both went to Florida State, so he says he always hated the Gators when he was young.Iowa leaves for Tampa on the 24th.
