Iowa’s economy appears to be in recovery according to the Iowa Workforce Development agency which tracks employment data. Iowa’s unemployment rate fell in November.State labor analyst Ann Wagner says for the second consecutive month, Iowa’s unemployment rate fell as November’s jobless figure was four-point-two percent. Wagner says that translates into 68-thousand unemployed Iowans. Wagner says some sectors of the economy are percolating again. Wagner says there was strong growth in trade and transportation, with one-thousand jobs added in those categories in November. She says layoffs in manufacturing appear to have abated, and there were about two-hundred manufacturing hires in Iowa last month.
