Workouts get heavier as Hawks ready to head south

The Iowa Hawkeyes will pickup their workout schedule this weekend in preparation for the January first Outback Bowl against Florida. Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz says the practice schedule has been sporadic during exam week. Finals finish on Friday, there’s graduation Saturday morning, and then he says they start to focus in on getting ready Saturday afternoon.Ferentz says he has not watched very much tape of Florida, yet, but will beginning this week. He says that’s the way they’ve planned it to be able to focus on recruiting. He says they start focusing in on the scouting today..
