Perry dinner-theater wraps up holiday run

This is the final weekend for the unusual twist on dinner-theater at the Hotel Pattee in Perry. Veronica Murphy is one of the cast members in “A Hometown Christmas,” which brings to life the holiday gathering of a fictional family 90 years ago.Murphy plays Hilde, the matriarch of the 1913 family gathering, which includes a variety of period music and historical dialogues before, during and after the four-course meal.This is the fifth December the show’s been put on at the historic hotel. Murphy says the three-hour performance includes 25 songs, many of which feature original lyrics about Iowa and about Perry. For more information, surf to “www.hotelpattee.com” or call 888-424-4268.
