In womens basketball from Sunday The Iowa Hawkeyes broke the game open in the secon half after trailing by two at the break in a 79-65 win over Drake in Iowa City. Kristi Faulkner led the Hawks with a season high 24-points as they improve to 6-3.Iowa coach Lisa Bluder says the defense was more effective in the second half and they really started clicking. Bluder says Drake shot well, but cooled down in the second half, and she says hopefully their defense has something to do with it. Drake coach Amy Stephens was disappointed with the loss but not the effort. She says they played hard and did some things well on offense. She says they need to do better on offense.
