Boy’s basketball features top matchup

January 9, 2004 By admin

High school boys’ basketball action tonight features a top five matchup in class 2A as second-ranked Tipton visits number three Mid-Prairie. Tipton returned from the holiday break with a nine point win over Mount Vernon Tuesday night. This will be Mid-Prairie’s first game since December 20th.Mid-Prairie coach Don Showalter’s team is 7-0 despite a lack of heighth. The heighth disadvantage will be extreme against Tipton, as their shortest player is as tall as his tallest player. Showalter says they try to take size out of the equation by pushing the tempo and making it a full court game.
