The Iowa Hawkeye women outscored 18th ranked Michigan State 11-0 in the final two minutes of the game as the Hawks stunned the Spartans 78-67 on the road.Iowa coach Lisa Bluder says it’s a great win for the program, beating a ranked team on the road. Bluder’s team battled first half foul trouble but trailed only 34-31 at the break. She says the free throw situation was “ridiculous” at one point as they had scored half their points with free throws early on.Iowa is now 6-2 in the Big Ten, good for third place and it completes a sweep of a two game road swing. Bluder says they’re mentally a different basketball team now, as they believe in themselves.
