Iowans are still trying to dig out from the latest snowstorm and now National Weather Service forecasters say — yet another winter blast is on the way. Meteorologist Rod Donovan says Iowans should keep those snowblowers on idle, as they’ll be needed again in a few days. A storm system called an Alberta clipper is going to sweep down from Canada and into Iowa late Sunday night and into Monday, bringing more snow, perhaps one to three inches. While a few more inches may not seem like much, Donovan acknowledges some Iowa towns — and individuals — are already dealing with all the snow they can handle. Some areas of Iowa have 20-plus inches of snow on the ground, a lot considering we only average 30 to 35-inches of snow for the year.
