UNI loses key player to injury

The UNI women’s basketball team has suffered another loss. Junior Alex Cook is out of action after breaking a bone in her right hand during the Panther’s 76-70 loss at Bradley on Saturday night. Cook was averaging 14-points and ten-and-a-half rebounds per game.Panther coach Tony Dicecco says her loss is an enormous blow to them. Cook was a first team all Missouri Valley Conference choice last year and was named to the Valley’s All-defensive team. He says they lose a double-double and a tremendous leader on the floor. The Panthers host Creighton on Friday.
