Drake grows weary without full squad, falls to SMS

A shorthanded Drake team led for much of the game at Southwerst Missouri State but the Bears dominated the stretch run to down the Bulldogs 68-59. Drake had three starters, Joshua Robinson, Josh Powell and Quantel Murphy, miss the game with injuries. Drake coach Tom Davis says they gave a great effort and says some of the playes they didn’t make were due to fatigue. Davis said a number of players off the bench helped pick up the slack. He says they adjusted pretty well with the lineup scrambled, but he says S-M-S deserves credit for not letting his team put them away.Drake is six-and-nine in the Valley.
