Harlan rolls up win streak in three sports

February 24, 2004 By admin

The boys’ basketball team at Harlan is top ranked and unbeaten in class 3A, but the basketball streak is only one part off a larger streak. Harlan defeated Red Oak 80-43 Tuesday to run their basketball record to 20-0. The win extended a three-sport winning streak to 50. The Cyclones have not lost in baseball, football or basketball since June 29th. After losing to Sioux City North in a baseball tournament, the team went on to win 17 straight games, including the 3A state championship. The football team went 13-0 in winning it’s ninth state championship this fall.
