Drake held Creighton to just 13 first half points then held off a furious Blue Jay rally in the second half for a 55-51 win as Drake improves to 9-6 in the Valley. Drake coach Amy Stephens says they’re proud of their effort and says they made the adjustments they needed to beat a very good Bluejay team. Creighton had a chance in the waning seconds but Drake’s Whitney Pegram stole an inbounds pass and connected on two free throws to seal the win.
