Investigation underway in drug dog’s death

March 29, 2004 By admin

Authorities in western Iowa’s Ida County are trying to determine whether foul play was involved in the death of a drug dog. The year-old Belgian Malinois, named Alan, was found dead in his kennel two weeks ago. Tests are being done at an I-S-U lab on the dog’s tissue samples to determine a cause of death after a veterinarian couldn’t do so. A full-scale investigation will be launched if the lab tests find that the dog’s death was intentional.
