Waterloo opens playoffs tonight

April 2, 2004 By admin

The Waterloo Black Hawks open up their first round USHL Clark Cup playoff series tonight as they skate at Chicago. Chicago won the Eastern Division title, while Waterloo finished fourth. The two teams played each other very evenly during the regular season. In their six meetings against the Steel the Hawks won three times, lost twice and tied once. Waterloo head coach P.K. O’Handley is anticipating a hard-hitting series. O’Handley says he would not be surprised if the series goes the full five games.
