Attempting to forecast the weather accurately is always a delicate matter — especially when the forecasts call for snow several weeks into spring. Several central Iowa TV weather people predict a good chance for snow, both tonight and tomorrow morning. But Radio Iowa relies on the National Weather Service, where meteorologist Mark Russell says it’ll be cloudy with lows in the low 30s — but there’s no snow expected. In fact, no precipitation of any kind is expected at least through next Wednesday.Russell says the same goes for most other parts of the state — Waterloo, Mason City and elsewhere, he says it’ll be colder than normal, but there’s nary a flake in any National Weather Service forecast. Iowans will just have to take a peek outside later today to see who’s right.
